Recombinant DNA Technology

Recombinant DNA Technology (also called genetic engineering) is a set of techniques used to combine DNA from different sources to create new genetic combinations that are valuable for research, medicine, agriculture, and industry. Recombinant DNA technology involves the manipulation and recombination of DNA molecules to produce new genetic material that can be introduced into an organism to change its traits or produce useful products.
